Weyonje! Waste Management Campaign: Talking Points

Year of Publication: 2024

The “Weyonje! Build it. Use it. Empty it” is a waste management campaign developed by Kampala Capital City Authority with technical support from the USAID Social and Behavior Change Activity. This campaign is designed to raise awareness and encourage community participation in sustainable waste practices. It features thoughtfully crafted talking points to guide meaningful conversations, a DJ mention script for engaging radio broadcasts, eye-catching social media posters to drive online engagement, and additional posters for offline visibility in key community spaces. By leveraging these tools, the campaign educates the public on the importance of reducing, reusing, and recycling waste, while promoting practical actions to maintain a cleaner and healthier Kampala.
