Happiness – IUD Client Take Home Material
Year of Publication: 2024
The Happiness Family Health Campaign launched in 2022 takes an integrated life-stage approach to addressing critical health challenges across malaria, HIV, family planning, adolescent health, maternal and child health (MCH), and water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH). By recognizing that health issues evolve across life stages and outcomes from one stage impact the next, the campaign targets key audiences at moments of transition: adolescents navigating body changes, young couples preparing for parenthood, pregnant couples, and caregivers of children under five. Anchored in research that highlights life transitions as opportunities for positive change, the campaign promotes adoption of essential health services while addressing interconnected issues such as ANC uptake, nutrition, immunization, exclusive breastfeeding, anemia, malaria prevention, and family planning.
The campaign focuses on empowering adolescents, young women, and men as key influencers, with special emphasis on male involvement to shift cultural norms that perceive family health as solely a female responsibility. Priority audiences include adolescent girls aged 10-14 (pre- and post-pregnancy), young women of low parity (15-24), and men aged 15-49. Through tailored messaging and interventions, the Happiness Family Health Campaign aims to foster behavior change, strengthen family health, and improve health outcomes at every stage of life.
