Live TB Free Campaign

Year of Publication: 2023

The Live TB Free campaign, developed by USAID Social and Behavior Change Activity and its partners PEPFER and Global Fund, promotes awareness of the signs and symptoms of TB, including coughing for two or more weeks, loss of appetite and body weight, and excessive sweating at night.

The materials provide guidance on what to do in the event of experiencing these signs and how to prevent and cure TB. Posters, banners, videos, radio spots, stickers, flip charts, brochures, and talking point booklets are used to disseminate the information, while health workers, health center staff, and other community members are encouraged to provide support to those affected by TB and to prevent the spread of the disease.

The campaign encourages people to recognize the signs and symptoms of TB and take action to seek medical advice and treatment, as well as to follow preventive measures such as avoiding close contact with those who are sick with TB, avoiding overcrowded places, and practicing good hygiene.
